Can ugly things sound beautiful? The DISEnsemble thinks so!
The instruments that comprise this free Live sample pack were collected by Dr. Jason Palamara in conjunction with IUPUI’s newest technology-based music ensemble, the DISEnsemble (Destructive and Inventive Systems Ensemble), which focuses on making beautiful sounds out of ugly, outdated or broken devices. The sounds in this pack are grouped by instrument, featuring three sound systems developed in our very first semester:
1. The Hacked Speak ‘N Spell
2. The Apocalypse Piano
3. The Scan-Melodion
