Maxene Wilkins
Maxene Wilkins (she/they) currently resides in Indianapolis, IN as a student attending IUPUI. They are a 4th year undergraduate within the Music Technology Program with a concentration in Media Arts and Sciences. Maxene’s journey with music began in 2011 at the age of 12, when they started to learn the violin. Entering high school, Electronic, and House influences from artists such as Disclosure, KAYTRANADA, and Kimbra prompted Maxene’s inspiration to begin their exploration in the field of Music Production.
Along with a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology, Maxene will also be obtaining a double minor in German and Video Production. Maxene’s production within the Media Arts and Sciences began in the Fall of 2019. Since then, Maxene has been crafting their skill with audio and video editing in software such as Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve. Creating multimedia prompted Maxene to take a step further and begin their journey as a photographer. Specifically exploring the mediums of architecture, still life, and street life.
Maxene’s current work within music focuses on utilizing different approaches and techniques for mixing and mastering. After three years of being a violinist for the Electro-Acoustic Ensemble, they currently work as an audio engineer for the E/A ensemble. As of December 2020, Maxene has taken on a new alias under the name of Rēse, for music and multimedia-related projects.
